Lifeguard patrols commenced on Saturday 20th October, the first day of the country’s Labour Day weekend.
The Red Beach club has started the 2007/08 season with more than 70 qualified lifeguards who are rostered for the volunteer patrols through to Easter Monday, 2008. A further dozen club members are receiving tuition for the Surf Lifeguard Award to become qualified for beach patrols.
Patrol hours for Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays are:
11:00am to 4:00pm  Months of October, November, March (to Easter Monday)
11:00am to 5:00pm  Months of December, January, February.
The patrolling hours may be extended on any particular day at the discretion of the Patrol Captain on duty.
