Red Beach is again the venue for the first of two Super Surf Camps to be held in New Zealand in January during the school holidays.
Aimed at youngsters aged from eight-14 years, the camps will focus on developing board and surf swimming skills along with training ethic and personal development. Having a 200m swim badge is desirable.
The two-day camp at Red Beach on 12th/13th January will be conducted on the same lines as the popular JuniorSurf training camps held in Australia.
Heading the camp is Brett Dowker, the Australian National High Performance Head Coach. Brett has the skills and knowledge to impart to those who attend, regardless of their ability. He will be assisted by a team of highly competent instructors.
The programme is endorsed by Surf Life Saving Australia and has been successfully presented to Juniors throughout Australia for the past 12 years. A second camp will be held at Mt Maunganui on 15th/16th January.
