Top performances ahead of training trip to Australia

Red Beach continued its winning way by taking out the second interclub surf carnival of the summer.
Omaha was again the venue because of the predicted high winds on Auckland’s west coast. Muriwai was to be the venue, however, officials decided on the switch to Omaha a day out from the event.
In flat conditions, the club’s surf athletes served up a number of stand-out performances ahead of the forthcoming training camp on Australia’s Gold Coast.
Lauren Bailey delivered a stunning win in the U19 Ironwoman event while Matt Thetford, Hannah Williams and Mitchell Grant each came away with two individual wins.
Meanwhile, in the boat & canoe arena, Red Beach’s surf canoe crews were dominant in racing.
