Club athletes show skills in Muriwai surf

25th November 2013

Red Beach’s surf athletes showed good early-season form at the first interclub surf carnival of the season at Muriwai.
Competing in the West Coast surf which was, at times, just over one metre, they made the most of their surf skills to deliver some notable wins.
Top performances were notched up by Matt Thetford and Lewis Gjaltema with five wins apiece.
Hannah Williams recorded four wins while Kelsi Boocock, Daniel Peacocke, Chelsea Grant and Jake Morgan-Kemp took out three wins each. Double wins went to Louise Aitken, Briar McLeely and Izaak Scheib.
