First-ever Red Beach crew to wear the Silver Fern

The Red Beach Sirens surf boat crew has been selected to represent New Zealand at next month’s Trans-Tasman Surf Boat Challenge in Australia.
The crew of Zita Talaic-Burgess, Ashleigh Jenkins, Madison Smith, Kelly Andrew, Katrina Gouldstone and sweep Shane O’Halloran secured the representative spot with four wins from four starts at the Whangamata Surf Boat Spectacular on 2nd January.
The Titahi Bay men’s crew will also represent New Zealand at the Challenge at Stockton Beach, Newcastle on the weekend of 8/9 February, taking on Australia’s top crews.
