Carnival at Omaha

20th November 2014

Second Inter-club carnival of season this Saturday

The Surf Sports season continues this coming Saturday 22nd November with a carnival at Omaha. With the recent taste of action at Muriwai and with exams out of the way for many, surf athletes will be eyeing up the opportunity for more competition.
The carnival serves as a selection event for the Northern Region team to travel to Australia in January.
The Ironman and Diamond events feature on the programme, along with surf races plus board and ski events. There’s also a Mixed 5-Person Taplin Relay. Beach events include flags, sprints and a 2km beach run.
Surf boat and surf canoe crews will compete over a long course distance with a short course finish. More information …
