First surf carnival of summer a test of fitness

The Surf Sports season gets under way in earnest on Saturday 12 November with a full-day carnival at Omaha.
Having had their first taste of competition at the Long Distance carnival in mid-October, surf athletes will be keen for some fully-fledged surf action.
The programme features board, ski and surf races plus the beach events of flags, sprints and relays. The Ironman and Diamond events will also be contested. 
Surf boat and surf canoe crews will compete over long course distances with a short course finish.
Board, ski and beach sprint events will be run in a 3-race series format. For more information, click here ...

Key times are:
8.15 – 9.00 am  Competitor registrations in training room
8.45 am    Team managers’ briefing in Omaha clubrooms 
9.45 am    Boat & canoe crews briefing in arena 
10.00 am  Events start (including boats & canoes)
