They almost reached the ton. Red Beach’s Senior athletes returned from the Northern Region Championships at Omaha with not only the overall points trophy.
They also came away with a very hefty haul of 96 medals which comprised of 31 Gold, 30 Silver and 35 Bronze.
With the club’s Juniors having won the Junior Points Trophy, also at Omaha, just three weeks earlier, the Seniors made it a clean sweep.

The next major event for the athletes are the NZ Championships at Mt Maunganui from 22-24 March.

Angus Henare was a double Gold medallist, winning the U16 & U19 Beach Flags event.
