Surf sports awards for Red Beach

Red Beach
was amongst the surf sports winners at the recent SLSNR Awards of Excellence Night at Auckland’s Cordis Hotel which was attended by 330 guests.
The club was presented with the Northern Region SeniorSurf Championships Trophy, having won it for the second consecutive year at the NRCs which were held over two days at Omaha in February.

JuniorSurf division chairman Richard Rogers was presented with the Junior Championships points trophy which the club’s young athletes won for a fourth consecutive year. The championships were held over two days at Omaha and at the same event the club regained the Cath & Eddie Millar Cup.

Thirteen-year-old Jasper Cornish was the winner of the U14 Sportsman of the Year Award following a season of impressive wins and podium finishes at the SLSNR and SLSNZ Pool Championships, the Northern Region Surf Championships and at Oceans ’19 held at Mt Maunganui.
