The runners group’s official name is the Hibiscus Coast Harriers & Triathlon Club and it runs triathlons, harrier runs and time trials as well as having a weekly run for about an hour from the clubhouse, followed by a get-together in the club lounge.
Members also take part in a weekly ocean swim and cycle wind training.
The group has about 50 members, including three national representatives who took part in the world long-distance triathlon in Canberra on 19 November 2006. Heather Allison came fourth in her age group and Susie George 15th in her group, after puncturing a tyre.
Wednesdays from the clubhouse, 6.00pm. The club runs cater for all different paces.
CYCLE RIDE: Sundays from Silverdale, 7.30am
