Red Beach Surf Club a clear winner with more than 13,000 votes in New Zealand-wide promotion

Red Beach Surf Club has been presented with a new IRB and motor for winning the most votes in a promotion which ran through December and January.
The promotion, jointly organised and sponsored by BP and Surf Life Saving NZ, was in celebration of 100 years of surf life saving in New Zealand.  A total of 72 New Zealand clubs were eligible to win the prize.
The IRB was presented by BP’s New Zealand managing director Mike McGuinness to surf club president Mike Taylor at a ceremony held at BP Dairy Flat.
BP has been a key supporter of surf life saving for the past 43 years. Surf club IRB’s throughout New Zealand carry the BP Surf Rescue branding on the hulls.
